Basic introduction
German LFGB is the German Food and Dietary Products Act. Food on the German market and all food-related supplies must meet LFGB requirements. Food contact materials entering the German market must pass relevant tests. After passing the test requirements specified by the LFGB, they will obtain an LFGB test report, which recognizes that the product does not contain chemically hazardous substances and is allowed to be sold in the German market.

LFGB's mark is "knife and fork" for food safety. For food contact materials, if there is a "knife and fork" symbol, it means that the product has passed inspections in many European countries including Germany. In the European market, the "knife and fork" logo can increase consumer trust in the product and increase its competitiveness in the market.

The LFGB test range includes materials in contact with food, so there is no defined product range. As long as materials that are in direct contact with food or may be in contact with it, they need to meet the LFGB test requirements.
LFGB test report scope
German LFGB test requirements are stricter than other national standards, so LFGB test reports are often recognized by other countries, especially EU countries, except the United States.

Bowls, cups, cutlery, spoons, pots, plates, dishes, chopsticks, trays, napkins, straws and other tableware;
Cutlery, pot, shovel, basin, peeler and other kitchen utensils;
Juicers, soymilk machines, coffee machines, kettles, ovens, rice cookers, toasters and other kitchen appliances;
Fresh-keeping film, fresh-keeping bag, fresh-keeping box, storage tank, seasoning bottle, sealed can, tablecloth and other packaging storage and other products.
Other products that have direct or possible contact with food are covered by the LFGB test range.
Reporting process
1. The applicant wants to provide the application sample information (or directly provide the sample)
2. The testing agency evaluates samples, evaluates test standards and test items, and provides fees
3. The applicant shall provide sample test after acceptance
4. The testing agency conducts tests in accordance with the test standards, and issues LFGB test reports after the tests pass.

3. Plastic samples: test for transferable ingredients and test for precipitable heavy metals
4. Metal: Test of composition and precipitable heavy metals
5. Silicone resin: test for transferable or volatile organic compounds
6. Special materials: Inspection of chemical hazards in accordance with the German Chemicals Act
7. Detection of certain azo dyes used in daily necessities such as textiles, leather, polyester fibers.
8.Testing of harmful chemical ingredients and heavy metals in cosmetics
9. Testing of harmful ingredients in tobacco

· PS, ABS, SAN, Acrylic plastic products: comprehensive migration test, peroxide value test, (VoM) total organic volatiles, sensory test.
· PA, PU plastic products: comprehensive migration test, peroxide value test, aromatic amine migration test, sensory test.
