Basic introduction

Degradable plastic material detection

Test items

Plastic degradation tests are mainly performed on plastics using visual observation, mass loss, molecular weight change, mechanical properties, carbon dioxide release / oxygen consumption, plate culture method, etc .; among them, visual observation and evaluation are mainly performed by SEM and atomic force microscope (AFM) Observation of structural changes before and after degradation includes surface roughness, formation of voids and cracks, splitting and breaking, and color changes.
